This digital round table will discuss urban innovation for empowering communities and building resilience within the urban fabric towards sustainability. Experts from the UK and Europe will combine their expertise on city interventions through circular design and materials and highlight the importance of social design in creating the cities of the future. The discussion aims to develop ideas on how cities could respond to climate change and provide public authorities with the tools that will enable sustainable development of the city while influencing community level dialogue, civil agency and social cohesion especially in a post-covid era. The round table is being organised in the context of our wider sustainability programme Circular Cultures, in collaboration with the Czech Centre Athens, with the support of Onassis Stegi and is part of the EUNIC Athens Garden Festival. .

Humanism highlights human beings’ responsibility to the world. As a philosophy and a commitment, it has led the human kind from dark spots many times already. By bringing to public space inspiration from the most notable European humanists, we want to stimulate a vision of future based on shared emphasis on humanity as a commitment.
